Why I Started My Odyssey Guide

For more than two decades, I've worked to help students discover opportunities, achieve their goals, and prepare for what's next. Along the way, I watched college admissions become increasingly competitive and complex. Families were expected to navigate countless choices, conflicting advice, and high stakes decisions, often with surprisingly little clarity. I believed there had to be a better way.

That's why I founded My Odyssey Guide.

I believe college admissions is about far more than getting into the most selective university. It's about helping each student discover where they will thrive, then building a thoughtful strategy that reflects their strengths, aspirations, and goals. When families have a clear process, they make better decisions, students feel more confident, and the journey becomes far more rewarding.

What is your approach for essays, test prep and portfolio applications?

Rather than focusing on essay editing or test preparation, I help students build a strong overall strategy, identify colleges where they will thrive, and confidently navigate the many decisions that shape a successful application. I coordinate and recommend trusted specialist experts for test prep, essays and portfolio development, while continuing to guide your central journey .

How many families do you work with yearly?

I limit my caseload to provide personalized, attentive guidance throughout.

Do you work just with the students?

While the application should reflect the student's own voice and work, the college search and decision-making process is a family one. From finances and campus visits to evaluating offers, I encourage parents to be part of the journey while helping students take ownership of their applications.
